This private 1BR cottage on the western edge of our property has a full kitchen and private shower and river access. There is a comfortable queen bed in the bedroom. We also keep a queen air mattress in the cabinet so a couple more people can sleep on the floor in the living room. The living room has a couch and love seat as well as a comfy chair. There is a table near the fridge where 2-4 people can share a meal together. The full kitchen comes with plenty of utensils to prepare a great meal. We have a full-size fridge you can fill with your favourite foods. You will have private use of the cottage and can park your car close, safely inside the gate. Outdoors is shared space. We may have other guests in the house so consider the pool and hot tub as shared amenities. Our neighbourhood quiet time is from 10pm to 7am. This includes the hot tub and pool. No late night loud activities are allowed. The house next door and the deck are off limits as we often host other guests so please respect their privacy as we ask them to respect yours Feel free to call me if you have any questions or problems. Everything is set up for self check-in and self-catering. Our property manager can assist you with any problems you may encounter. The circuit panel is behind the flower tapestry in the entry area if you need to reset a tripped switch We live in a quiet neighbourhood on the dead end Story Lane in Anderson. We are just off exit 670 or Riverside Drive in Anderson past the Gaia Hotel. Living near the river allows us to enjoy being close to nature. As with all neighbourhoods we do enjoy quiet time from 10 pm to 7 am There is no public transport in our area so you will need a car. There are car rentals at the airport if you fly in to Redding. We are only 3.5 miles away from the airport We do have a lot of wildlife so bird poo is a daily chore. The geese love to leave their deposits around the yard too. Please lower the umbrella shades when not in use to prevent wind damage. If PGE cuts the power our back up generator should start up automatically within a few seconds. Our neighbor next door has an unique collection of antique farm items and wind chimes.

March 2026 2.00I have nothing but positive things to say about Rob's communication, but the experience was way below expectations: 1) The pictures did not come close to depicting actual quality. Felt very unrepresentative. 2) There was a strong smell upon entering the cabin. My wife thought it smelled like a hamster cage, I thought it smelled like spoiled meat. We almost immediately turned tail and looked for other accommodations, but ... 3) ... it's pretty far from anything but fast food. We drove up to Redding for lunch and found ourselves wishing we just stayed there. 4) The cabin was very cheaply finished, even if clean on the surface. I wouldn't typically call this out, but given the price point it's worth noting. It was priced at least $100 more than it's worth. 5) The kicker was no coffee in the morning. Didn't bother to check cabinets in the evening, so had to make a run to 7-Eleven given how close the nearest Starbucks was. I'm sure Rob's great, but wish I had this honest review.

January 2026 5.00Great place to stay, the house had enough room and comfy bed. Easy access off the I-5. Right next to the river, which made for some beautiful views. The hot tub was an added bonus. Host communication was great. Would recommend.

January 2026 5.00This little cottage is wonderful! It was perfect for me and my dogs (who also immensely enjoyed the stay). The river is beautiful and there’s lots of birds which I loved! I inadvertently locked myself out but was right back in thanks to Rob 😊 who is very kind! The bed is wonderful! I’ll definitely stay again!

December 2025 4.00Great little place to stay for the night. The hot tube was not very hot and the door was opened when I arrived. I think the place could use some simple items such as a bottle opener and can opener. Overall it was a great experience
