This little slice of heaven is perfect for a romantic getaway, fishman's retreat or convenient rest stop on a long I-5 journey. Actually up to 4 guests can enjoy the comfort of this private tiny house @ Exit 670. Your private bedroom, bath and living room comes with a private screened porch too. Unwind, Even your friendly dog can come too! Need more space? Book the luxury house next door to bring the whole family for a family reunion. Make memories, escape, recharge! Conveniently close to I-5 Studio Ashley is a private unit on our estate we now offer to guests to use since our daughter has moved back to Seattle. This free-standing 1BR unit was added behind our garage and is a complete and fully separate quiet apartment. Guests are allowed to stay in this private hideaway but are not allowed to use the rest of the property amenities unless also renting the house. We have set this up for easy self check-in. Check-in is usually 4pm. Check out is 10:00 am. I will give you the code to the keyless door entry. I also have a Ring Doorbell so you can reach out if you need help. Bring the favorite foods you like to cook, and stock the full-size fridge if you plan to stay for an extended period of time. We have everything you need for a home away from home. We also have a Keurig coffee maker so bring your favorite blend along with a small convection oven you can use as an air fryer for a quick healthy meal. There are several groceries & restaurants very close by. Feel free to try catching a salmon with a fishing guide. We will contact info for one who works with us, or you can contact the Fly Shop in Redding to get fully outfitted for a day excursion on the river. Locally we have many wonderful restaurants and fast food available too near by alone with hiking trails with waterfalls around us on Mt Lassen or Mt Shasta. This is a NO SMOKING home, so please do not take any liberties in this aspect. We have other guests and children who are very allergic. Our home is Fully fenced, with outside security cameras that monitor 24/7 for your protection. No cameras are inside of home. There is a $50 extra sanitising fee added if you bring pets. We have also implemented stronger sanitising methods by using bleach wipes on surfaces and switches. Please note that while the cottage is totally private, our driveway, our yard, and our pool are not being shared with this Studio. We do rent our home and the West Cottage to Airbnb guests who want to swim but that is a separate booking. There may be other guests staying next door. Feel free to ask if you have any special requests. Call or message us if you have any special needs or questions. You can park your car outside the gate on the grass, but not in the driveway. We are ready for your arrival at 4pm but can sometimes provide early check in. There is a check-in feature in this AirBnB app that shows pictures and codes. You are only booking the Studio, not the whole property. Please respect our family living next door and any other guests who may be staying on the property. This is a quiet studio rental so please honor the evening quiet times. Park your car on the grass opposite the gate, open the wooden gate with the big Z and a small sign Employees Only. Yours is the door just past the garage. This self-check-in Studio apartment has a private entrance behind the garage and next to our main house. You should be able to get in quietly at night even if you are are arriving late. I will send the phone number to our property manager who stays in an apartment next door if you need any assistance. We have a short-term rental agreement which comes as a JotForm form which we ask you to Esign before we release the key code for the front door. We love living on the Sacramento River. You may even get to see a bald eagle or local turkeys, geese and deer as they stroll along. Our own home next door which may have a guest in it. We are located on a quiet dead-end street so there is very little traffic. The family across the street do have 3 fenced in dogs which can make a lot of noise when you arrive. There is a free children's splash pad at the Anderson River Park as well as a park, and a public boat ramp less than one mile east. Anderson is a quiet little town in Northern California but offers many conveniences. It's the first town south of the Redding and very close to Bethel and the Stirring churches who hold many conferences. The Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay in Redding are great places to visit. Anderson has a factory outlet mall and movie theater just a couple miles south of us. About an hour north is the beautiful Shasta Mountain. Lassen Mountain is just one hour east of on highway 44. Sacramento is about 2 hours south. Northeast is Burney Falls, and to the west is Wiskeytown Lake We have implemented extra measures to sanitise the cottage by wiping things down after we clean with Clorox wipes. Our front entrance has a gate to provide extra security and peace of mind. We have Self Check-in with Keypad Doorlock. You do not have access to the pool or hot tub. Officially we allow only house-trained pets in the cottage and we understand many have service animals. Our cleaners charge an additional $50 pet sanitizing fee to help prevent allergies with future guests who have sensitivities. We send you a jot form with the guildlines for staying in our Short Term Rental. If you bring a pet, you may not lock them in the house unattended. Also, you must walk them on leash on the street and clean up after them.

February 2025 5.00Rob and Allison’s place was exactly as described. The river view was absolutely beautiful. The house was clean and had everything one would need for a nice weekend getaway. Allison would respond to what ever question I had within a few minutes.

August 2024 5.00I had an unfortunate problem with my original booking with a different host and had to make a last minute booking and Rob and Alison were so helpful! Immediately responsive and helped me get set up quickly to check in for a safe stay. The home was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the little covered patio was so beautiful and a great place to have my morning coffee - my cats loved being out there to watch the birds. Would definitely visit again.

May 2024 4.00I arrived for an event nearby, & wanted a nicer place to stay. This was definitely that place! I booked thinking this was a full house for rent, but ended up being a guest flat. It very well could have been my oversight. I will have to go back & check. Still, lodgings were cozy, & well taken care of! There was a logistical issue in messaging before arrival, that was quickly handled, & explained as the unit being rented on other platforms. Totally understandable. Nothing more of this. The noise curfew for the property, other guests hosted didn't quite abide, but it's the weekend. So, it's understandable. Any issue is easily overtaken by lovely hosting in ways of quick acceptance of a last minute +1 to the reservation, extra amenities in the kitchen, and very quick responses. Overall, a fantastic stay. Everything I needed it to be. Rob & Allison are gracious & prompt hosts, w/ a lovely home, & quiet surroundings. I do recommend a stay if in the area! And, highly recommend a walk!
